What: Farmer Breakfast
When: August 28, 9-11am
Where: Sauvie Island Grange,
14443 NW Charlton Rd, Portland
How: It’s free!
We’re hosting a casual farmer breakfast to bring together local growers to talk with each other and experts, including our soil health expert from West Multnomah SWCD, Scott Gall. Oregon Dept of Fish & Wildlife staff will also be there to talk with attendees about deer damage prevention. Deer damage prevention starts in the fall. Come learn from our local wildlife experts about the existing tools, requirements and best management practices to prevent deer damage to your crops. Now is the time to protect next year’s crops. Plus it’s a chance to meet and share experiences with fellow farmers in the area.
Sauvie Island Grange has plenty of parking, is wheelchair/walker accessible, and has men’s and women’s restrooms. If you have other accessibility needs, including translation, please email info@wmswcd.org.
This is a casual event, no registration is needed, and all are welcome. Please email Scott@wmswcd.org if you’d like more information about deer or soil issues.
