We are happy to announce the first and second rounds of our Splash Grants awarded between the grant’s launch in February and the end of June, 2026. In total, these organizations were granted $8,500. Congratulations, we can’t wait to see what you do!

Grant supported Coyote-palooza, a tabling/street fair style event for people to learn about coyotes in urban areas. The District hosted a table along with 13 state/local/nonprofit partners. Hosted in May 2026. Photo above from that event.
Grant supports five River Access for All events over the course of the summer and fall, including new kayaks, paddles, and lifejackets, as well as staffing for participants support.
Grant supports school garden irrigation, soil amendments, soil sifter screens, staffing. To be installed during events in August and September.
Grant supports adding irrigation, trees, mason bee habitat to orchard area. Plan to install during an education event with community events.
Grant supported “Roots to Table,” a community event on the farm to learn about soil health and farming. Hosted in August, 2026.
Forest Park Neighborhood Association
Grant supported a poster of conservation projects for the Forest Park NA 50th Anniversary celebration. The District hosted a table at the event, held in August 2026.
Grant supports online outreach, materials and staffing at events to promote that they have services now on the West Side. Services including harvest, pruning, pest management, and volunteer events.
