Sauvie Island Academy (SIA) located amongst the rural farmland on Sauvie Island is a public charter K-8 school with strong environmental and place-based curriculum. The District has partnered with SIA for several years on a number of projects including native habitat landscaping, edible gardens, and field trips to Sauvie Island Center. Most recently, we have been helping their middle school program build a hoop house for all-season gardening with a pollinator-friendly flower hedge nearby.
