Terra Nova High School is a partial-day option facility in the Beaverton School District located on NW Thompson Rd. This unique school provides juniors and seniors with hands-on experience in field biology and sustainable food production. We are working with them to replace Himalayan blackberry along the edge of the field with a native hedgerow. As the new plants grow in, students will learn scientific research methods and pollinator identification skills as they monitor changes in pollinator biodiversity. We are also providing technical assistance as the students beginning to plan a habitat restoration project in the forested edge of the property.
