Friends of Tryon Creek present Trillium Festival, April 1-2, 2017, where you can purchase native plants and speak with native plant enthusiasts and experts for advice. It only takes a few native plants to attract song birds, butterflies, bumblebees and insects. Planting natives can create habitat, conserve water and reduce or even eliminate the use of pesticides and fertilizers that eventually end up in our local streams and rivers.
There will be an array of fun activities all weekend-long, including a native plant sale. Tryon Creek Watershed Council will be selling $5 native plants that will attract birds and pollinators to your yard. All proceeds will benefit the watershed council so please stop by and visit our plant booth!
