You’re invited to a morning of learning, tasting and growing together at the Sauvie Island Center. There is something for everyone on this self-guided adventure. Volunteers will be hosting fun and games at stations around the farm. You’ll search the native plant hedgerow for pollinators and taste the bounty brought to us pollinators. Throughout the day we’ll all learn more about the important role that pollinators play in our food supply. Don’t BEE afraid! Thanks to event partner Metro and their Bee Petting Zoo, you’ll even get an up-close look at how bees use their bodies to gather pollen. A variety of snacks will be provided, but you can bring a picnic lunch and make a day of it! For more information visit Pollinator Picnic.
