Board meeting – March 17, 2020

The March board meeting of the West Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District (WMSWCD) will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. and members of the public may attend in our conference room at 2701 NW Vaughn Street, Suite 450, Portland, Oregon. See this page for up-to-date information on the location of the meeting. The public is welcomed to all District board meetings, and the meeting agenda allows time for public comment.

On the agenda are items related to the update of the District’s Long Range Business Plan: a summary of findings from the survey and interviews held for public input on the plan; discussion, review, and approval of evolving success criteria that will be used to better facilitate effective and informed decision making through the Long-Range Business Plan Update development process; and discussion and review of questions to be posed that will guide development of the District’s scope of conservation work and financial sustainability, and ensure equity and inclusion are embedded as foundational values in all that the District does. The Long-Range Business Plan is a strategic planning document that guides the scope of the District’s conservation work and the necessary financial sustainability and organizational health to implement this work for the next 5 years (2021-2025).

The board will also hold an executive session; this session is closed to the public to consider information or records that are exempt from disclosure by law, including information from an attorney, pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(f) (https://www.oregonlegislature.gov/bills_laws/ors/ors192.html).

Regular business includes approval of February board meeting minutes and review of the District’s financial reports for the month of February. The agenda can be modified by the Board of Directors at any time during the meeting.

The Board of Directors typically meet on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the WMSWCD 4th Floor conference rooms, suites 452 A & B, at the Montgomery Park building, 2701 NW Vaughn Street, and the location of this meeting has changed as a health and safety precaution during the coronavirus pandemic.
